When you left me

A ghost of you in my arms
Chilling and empty.
Where did you go
When I needed you most?
A boxed Houdini, you vanished
Quicker than the eye that saw you
And took you to it's heart.
Cried itself to sleep,
The Monster of this love
Rocked you empty in it's arms.
Knowing something lost.
Not knowing what to feel.
You should be there to hold,
And where you should be
A hollow stone of air,
There but not here.
A silent whisper
A muted groan,
Words space cannot tell a man.
With no mouth nor heart
No warmth or breath.
I have the nothing you.
